Overview (Visit links for more detailed information)

Envision a small rural community that offers something new to experience every day and you'll be thinking of Cambridge. Our diverse tourism and recreational opportunities bring a vitality and enjoyment to both citizens and visitors alike. There is something for everyone to experience and enjoy in every season.

McKinley Park  The Medicine Creek provides the perfect backdrop and it's bountiful natural habitat enhances the park with trees, birds, fishing, and a new section of walking trail with two footbridges. Historic and artistic features compliment glorious flower gardens. Sporting facilities, swimming pool, playgrounds, and a one acre sandbox provide fun for all. An RV camping area provides electrical and water hook-ups. The park's many trees designated it as an affiliate site of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum.

Cross Creek Golf Links Cross the creek from the park and you will find Cambridge's championship length 18 hole public golf course offering diverse play with links and park style holes and immense natural beauty. Personal service from the PGA professional and staff, clubhouse amenities, and affordable fees make Cross Creek a course you will not want to miss.

Harry Strunk Lake
Medicine Creek Reservoir
Medicine Creek State Recreation Area Located just ten minutes (via paved road) north of Cambridge, this amazing place deserves to have three names! The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has touted this as Nebraska's "Most Scenic Lake" and in times of "low water", the many springs that bring this lake to capacity year after year are truly a gift. Read the NebraskaLand Magazine's May 2007 feature story by Rocky Hoffman on the linked page. Remember it is a State Park so a Permit is necessary to visit.

Cambridge Museum An extensive collection of community and area memorabilia and natural artifacts keep us connected to our rich history. Special exhibits and programs are offered in a gallery area. Museum hours May- September, Tuesday-Sunday 1:00 PM-5:00 PM and October-April, Saturday-Sunday 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Cambridge Bed & Breakfast
Faling Living History Tour Home
A Cambridge landmark home on the Register of Historic Places for its extraordinary neoclassic architecture and original 1908 details. The private home also serves as a Bed & Breakfast, conducts living history tours, and hosts special events. Modern amenities, private bathrooms, and wireless internet. The home was a lasting gift to the community built by our first mayor, William H. and his wife Anna Faling. The Falings are exemplary pioneers who believed in the future of small town America and are quoted "We are the generation that built communities out of the Great American Desert".

Cottage Inspirations Quilt Shop A charming cottage shop right on Highway 6 & 34, you'll find an enormous selection of fabrics, kits, and home accessories. Classes and special events are regularly held and special group packages can be arranged just for you. Gather with your friends and family to "create memories one stitch at a time".
