Cambridge Tourism
The natural beauty of the landscape
upon which Cambridge was built has greatly enhanced the development
of recreation for area citizens and for tourists.
Cambridge is home to one motel, two
B & Bs,
four great restaurants, four hunting and fishing businesses, three
accomplished artists, an acclaimed astronomer (Lime Creek Observatory),
an impressive museum, a health club, and the simple charms of small
town life. Many additional attractions are very close by.

McKinley
Park. McKinley
Park presents the full array of recreation in a sprawling
public space bordered on the north with the Medicine Creek
and Highway 6 & 34 on the south. Swimming pool, tennis,
skate park, basketball, baseball diamonds, playgrounds,
soccer, picnic areas, historic school house, fishing, RV
campground, walking
trails, five historic bridges,
flowers, historic flower garden, NE
Arboretum,
and artistic
sculptures surround beautiful McKinley Park. The Park
is an affiliate site of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum.

The Medicine
Creek, winding through the park, is a longtime, favorite
fishing spot for walleye and white bass. The creek sets the
stage for recreation beginning 10 minutes north at the Medicine
Creek State Recreation Area (Harry Strunk Lake-known as Nebraska's
most scenic) and converging just south of town as it flows
into the Republican River. |

Cross
Creek Golf Links. At 7,205 yards from
the tips, the golf course provides a variety of teeing
areas on each hole offering enjoyable golfing opportunities
for golfers of all ages and abilities.
Hole number 18 has been called
one of the best finishing holes in the Midwest - a very long
par 4 turning left to a small green tucked in between the Nedicine
Creek and large cottonwoods.
Referred
to as a "diamond
in the rough" by an Omaha World-Herald reporter, Cross
Creek greets many returning golfers every year. |

Harry
Strunk Lake and Medicine
Creek Lodge. Located about 2 miles east and 7 miles north
of Cambridge.
Medicine Creek State
Recreation Area and wildlife management area encompasses 8,900 acres of public
land and water. Enjoy camping, swimming, fishing, watersports,
birdwatching and hunting. Roughly 850 acres of food plots,
playground, fish cleaning stations, picnic grounds and tables,
barbecue grills, and full service marina.
Stay limit: 14
days. Open year-round.

The Faling House.
The Cambridge
Bed & Breakfast listed on the National Register of
Historic Places is a turn-of-the century landmark which offers
convenience and comfort to modern business and leisure travelers.
This historic home of classic European architecture was completed
in 1910, the family home of W.H. & Anna Faling. Extraordinary
stained and leaded glass, original hardwoods and more than
35 stately Greek columns are among the artistic features that
make it one of rural Nebraska's most memorable treasures. |

Cottage Inspirations "Creating
Memories One Stitch At A Time"
The Cottage is owned by mother/daughter team of Melody Brown
and Samantha Jones. They opened the doors in February 2004
and have been busy ever since. They
offer a great selection of quality fabrics, patterns, kits
and classes for the beginning quilter to the advanced. The
Cottage showcases a HUGE selection of Kansas Troubles fabric & patterns.
They also have a variety of Buggy Barn, Whimsicals, Fig Tree,
Batiks, as well as kids prints, patriotic fabrics, flannels,
and soft florals in stock.
